A rundown of KET’s campaign coverage this year

March 29, 2010

For those political junkies among us, this year’s going to be an exciting one. Here in Daviess County, there’s a record, or at least near-record, number of people on the ballot, and the city and county government races are sure to produce some good debate and rhetoric.

Statewide, the U.S. Senate race is at the top of the list, and the primary season has already offered quite a bit for most folks who follow politics a lot to chew on, beginning back in August at Fancy Farm.

Tonight, KET kicks off its main coverage of this year’s contests with Kentucky Tonight. Here’s who is scheduled to appear on the show, which begins at 7 p.m. Central.

Charlie Moore, chair of the Kentucky Democratic Party

Steve Robertson, chair of the Republican Party of Kentucky

Kathy Groob, political consultant and co-founder of Emerge Kentucky, a training program for Democratic women

Holly Harris, finance chair for the Republican Party of Kentucky.

Host Bill Goodman gave a rundown of KET’s coverage during the campaign season, which will be a little different from years past. Absent this year will be the face-to-face debates that KET has hosted in the past.
