Special session in December?

November 12, 2009

The Kentucky Gazette is reporting that Gov. Steve Beshear told legislative leaders this week to keep some time next month free for a possible special session.

From the report

Gov. Steve Beshear has told legislative leaders keep the week of Dec. 13 open for a possible special session of the Kentucky General Assembly, Senate President David Williams, R-Burkesville, told The Kentucky Gazette on Thursday (Nov. 12) morning.
Senate Minority Floor Leader Ed Worley, D-Richmond, confirmed the tentative special session and said the topic would be an economic incentives package for the possible relocation of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle plant to Shelbyville. …

One other state senator said he’s heard chatter that video slots may be added to the call as well.

Thanks to Page One Kentucky for the heads up.

“One” of the genuine greatest generation: The 5th President of the United States of America – James Monroe – is credited with saying: “This constitution is sufficient only for a moral and religeous people – it will suffice for no other”.

“Our” constitution must once again become so universally popular that no party would dare to oppose it. How is that to be? James Monroe stated the route to take – We the people & the states must travel that route – if the monster that is the “National” government is to be tamned & confined within THE constitution – It Will Be – We The People & The States that does it. No others will suffice!…
